We warmly welcome you to our Retreat Centre here in beautiful Ngakuru and we pray that you will have a peaceful and fruitful stay with us.
The Divine Office, the Official Prayer of the Church, is one that has been sung by countless Benedictine Monks and Nuns for hundreds of years from the 5th Century down to the present day and continues to be sung by the Tyburn Nuns, seven times a day.
Rev. Fr. Robert Sharplin has kindly taken up the chaplaincy of Tyburn Monastery from the 24th June. The new Mass times are as follows and any future changes will be noted here:
Thursdays : 11.15am
Saturday : 10.15am
During the day the Sisters do Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. If you would like to do an adoration (for a half hour e.g.) please contact the Guest Mistress.
Main meal is at midday. Breakfast is self- serve in the mornings. Tea/coffee available any time of the day. Please try to be punctual when the meals are being served. It would be appreciated if the Spirit of Monastic Silence could be maintained, in respect of other retreatants.
God bless you!
